If MineralTree tries to add a payment to QuickBooks Online which uses the same check number as an existing payment the sync will fail if the duplicate check warning setting is activated in QuickBooks. Users can enter duplicate payments in directly in QBO by overriding the warning, but QBO will not let MineralTree do the same.
Below are the steps to disable the duplicate check warning in QuickBooks Online
- From Settings dropdown select Account and Settings
- Select Advanced tab (on left)
- Click the Edit (pencil) icon
- Under Other preferences uncheck Warn if duplicate check number is used box
